Paula & Pop's take the Wapato Yacht out for a cruise.
Sandra & "Z" feel the need for speed!
The Cooks Rock!
ChazMan!
I had another great weekend at the lake. I think I've found my happy place. It was fun filled weekend with good times! We talked Paula into golfing with the boys and of course she hit from the Men's T's and still kicked our butts. Mike and Sandra made a huge pot of spaghetti and fed us all again.

Chaz with a spectacular sunset.
We spent the weekend up to our necks in the cool lake water with a high temp of 102.9 degrees on Aug 16th. A small fire in the 25 Mile Creek basin was reported late Thursday afternoon.

Wapato Family Fly-In Week (August 4-10th)
What a beautiful week at Wapato for the 5th annual Wapato Lake Fly-In. New in attendance this year were Pam, Kyran & baby D (Declan) as well as the new kittens Petra and Zach. Specifics on the results of the Fly-In will follow once dad has had time to absorb the total destruction of his J3-Cub (he insists it will fly again, however).
As usual we all ate very well this week. Paula & George brought fresh alaskan salmon and Halibut that they caught the week prior in Kodiak. Joanie contributed a wonderful pasta dish. Thank you Aunt Kerin for the ever-so-tasty Zucchini bread and Lisa for making the famous Woodinville Falcon BBQ Beans. The food at Wapato is so great it has inspired us to start a "Lake House Recipe Journal."
As usual the great stories are too many to mention but it has been decided that the funniest story of the week was Lisa's swim suit story-we are still laughing about it!
George took the kids (Chaz, Taylor and Michela) and joined Kelly, the boys and Lisa and Rachael at the Omak Stampede while the rest of us spent a little time at the Tildio Winery.
The big news for the week is the new addition to the family-a golden retriever named Finnegan that Paula and George (&Chaz and Taylor) adopted from a family in Wenatchee. He has settled right in and in addition to being a little counter surfer he also fetches flip flops (just ask Sharon).

New Association trail
The trail leading down to the dock is complete thanks to the Paul, George & Kirk. Paul spent a few days just moving the rocks down to the water edge. He had to build the trail as he went to keep from rolling into the lake. Kirk and George were the muscle for man handling the rocks into place.
