Happy New Years Friends and Family,
One of my New Years resolutions is to keep in better touch with you all. What better way to do so than a BLOG?
This happens to be our Wapato Lake blog. We've spent the past week here at the cabin and have been lovin' it! I took up snowshoeing (thanks to my friend and neighbor Rhonda-I'm hooked!) We've had lots of snow, good food, and good laughs.
Besides the necessary chores like shoveling snow and hauling fire wood (thanks Dad!) We've had fun baking, sledding, snowshoeing, snow-ball fighting, relaxing in the hot tub, and the ongoing love of decorating our wonderful cabin. We finally welcomed "Ginny" the bear......the black bear that hangs above the fireplace. She was a gift from my Uncle Chuck the summer of 2000 when we lived in Alaska (long story). While it is not our usual style of decor, she has history in our family and is a reminder to all of us to respect and appreciate the natural world around us.
We hope you all have a happy and healthy 2008. We will be in touch-that is a promise!
